Description

This is the Hyperion EOS 0615i Duo III 6S, 15A, 180W max per port dual output balancing charger. The EOS 0615i Duo III is an extremely powerful, versatile, easy-to-use charger with special features for speed charging lithium packs up to 6S (12S in Duo Mode!). Super high charge rates are possible even with the largest 6S packs. Integrated LBA10+ balancer has 300mA balance power per cell. Terminal Capacity Selection, PS Load Control, PC Dataport, and User-Upgradeable firmware round out this fantastic package. Output Charge Cord/Connector set and Hyperion Balance Multi-Adapter for 2S to 6S packs are included. This charger is effectively two 180W capable chargers in one unit. Both chargers can be run independently from each other, so you can charge two completely different battery packs at the same time! Better yet, the Duo II charger now includes a 50W discharge circuit per port, so you can discharge your battery packs at high current ratings!

But don't stop there! You may "Network" connect the two battery ports together using "Duo" mode! In this case, you can charge two separate but similar Lipo, Lion, or A123 packs as a single unit, to make flight packs from 7S to 12S at 360W charge power! Nothing else on the planet offers so much power for so few dollars out of your pocket with dual charging capabilities! Charge Amps vs. Charge Watts: This charger is rated at 6S, 15A with a 180W power limit per charger port (12S/360W when linked in Duo mode). It is important to understand the interaction between charge current and charge watts, as the maximum charge current will go down as the voltage of the battery being charged is increased. Hence the 10A charge rating on this charger does NOT mean all battery packs up to 6S can be charged at up to 10A! The maximum charge current for a particular battery pack is determined by the max power of the charger, divided by the voltage of the battery being charged. So a 6S Lithium battery (22.2V) can only be charged at a maximum of 8A on this charger (180/22.2 = 8.11A). However when in Duo mode, two 6S Lithium batteries (12S total, or 44.4V) can be charged up a maximum of 8A (360/44.w = 8.11A).
